GFAB Inc. is committed to creating a safe, fair, inclusive, and community‑driven basketball environment for everyone involved. As a volunteer‑run, not‑for‑profit incorporated association, we uphold strong standards of governance, integrity, and participant safety across all our programs.
Governance & Constitution
Geelong Filipino‑Australian Ballers Inc. is an incorporated association registered with Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV). Our Committee operations are governed by the Model Rules for an Incorporated Association, which serve as our official Constitution and outline how the organisation must operate.
We operate under the Model Rules for Incorporated Associations, which outline: 1. Committee roles and responsibilities 2. Membership rights 3. Dispute resolution processes 4. Meeting and voting procedures 5. financial management obligations Our Committee is responsible for ensuring: 1. Transparent decision‑making 2. Responsible financial management 3. Compliance with Victorian legislation 4. Safe and fair operations for all participants
These rules apply only to the Committee, not to players, volunteers, or participants. A copy of the Model Rules is available upon request, or you may view the official version on the Consumer Affairs Victoria website.
Integrity Framework
GFAB Inc. has adopted the Alternative Best Practice Integrity Policy Templates developed by Sport Integrity Australia. These policies provide a nationally recognised framework for safeguarding participants and promoting fairness in community sport.
What is an Integrity Framework?
An Integrity Framework is the system that guides how GFAB Inc. makes fair, safe, and ethical decisions. It brings together all the rules, standards, and behaviours that protect our community and ensure everyone is treated with respect. It helps us: Promote fairness, honesty, and respect Keep players, volunteers, and families safe Prevent misconduct, discrimination, and poor behaviour Handle complaints properly and transparently Make sure everyone follows the same standards Our Integrity Framework applies to everyone involved in GFAB Inc. — players, coaches, volunteers, officials, parents, spectators, and committee members. It ensures our club remains a safe, inclusive, and community‑focused place to play basketball.
Integrity Framework Update: GFAB Inc. has submitted our application to Sport Integrity Australia to adopt the full suite of Best Practice Integrity Policies. Sport Integrity Australia has confirmed that our application will be included in their June assessment cycle for review and recommendation. We will provide a further update once a decision has been finalised.

Complaints & Reporting
Participants can report concerns confidentially through our reporting forms. All reports are reviewed by the Committee in line with our policies.
Fair Play Code Commitment
GFAB Inc. adopts the Victorian Government’s Fair Play Code and is committed to promoting safe, fair, and respectful behaviour across our community. We expect all players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and spectators to uphold the Code’s core principles of integrity, respect, responsibility, fairness, and safety.
By participating in GFAB competitions, all individuals agree to support a positive sporting environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.

Our internal policies are currently being reviewed and updated. GFAB Inc. is finalising a range of operational, governance, and safety policies to ensure our organisation runs smoothly, transparently, and in line with best‑practice standards for community sport.
